Animal Prints & Roller Derby Girls

Last week I posted a new charm bracelet with  matching earrings set called Cheetah Heart. Here is my collage of other great items to go with this fierce look. Again, animal print is classic and will never go out of style! From the SEPHORA collection we have the Moonshadow Baked Palette- In the Nude, M.A.C. pigment Rose, Christian Louboutin Metallip leopard print pumps, Alexander McQueen leopard print skull charm phone case, River Island leopard heart earrings, CHANEL vintage golden 1992 Double C woven textured brooch, Full Tilt purple leopard sunglasses, leopard print asymmetric faux ponyskin clutch, knitted beanie and an Asos leopard bow headband.

Versace for H&M was opened to the public this past weekend and many of her inspiring looks included animal prints. I personally am not someone who wears animal print in my wardrobe (unless it's with my scarves) but you can't deny it is a classic display of fashion and as you can see by the photo above, works with an array of colors.

I've included a link of the Versace for H&M Fashion Show in New York YouTube video. It's a must-see if you'd like to see what the whole collection offers. I'm a huge fan of the gold on black ensembles. I'm a believer. The hype is all there.

Dominion Derby Girl
One of the fun and original bracelet requests I've been talking about this past month. This one was made for Joy who is part of the Dominion Derby Girls here in Hampton Roads. A reward to herself for not just making the team but for all the bruises, blood, sweat and tears through 9 weeks of training. A great themed bracelet that was so fun to put together and is already getting attention from new customers! For more details, see Joy's Roller Derby Request.

Hello Kitty Love
For a custom charm bracelet I will be making next, it's no surprise that a Hello Kitty charm was requested. Probably one of the more popular charms asked for when making bracelets for customers. I have no problem adding these cute charms. These Kawaii Crazed baubles are in demand and have been a trademark on many of my designs.
Staying busy with the Holidays coming up and more creative ideas  being asked from some new & old customers. I can't believe Thanksgiving is this week! Where did this year go? I'll be working on jewelry and trying to keep up with work, planning a wedding (newly engaged!) and still finding time in between to have a life! So check back soon to see what I come up with!

Cheetah Heart & Keys to my Heart Ensemble

A set including a matching charm bracelet and earrings for the Cheetah lover. A great color combination of blacks, golds with a touch of sparkle from tan teardrop beads. Far from a dull or average jewelry set that just blends in the background, this chunky and striking set looks even better on your wrist. (Yes, I do tend to model my own jewelry sometimes). When I tried it on  I thought it was a perfect set for Fall and anyone who loves to wear these classic colors into their wardrobe. This is also available on my Etsy site.

'Keys to my Heart' Charm Bracelet
This ensemble includes my Keys to my Heart charm bracelet. Key charms are one of my favorite things to put on a bracelet. I've included a Lanvin ribbed wool & silk gayar dress, Alexander McQueen peep toe faitful booties, OPI Shatter nail laquer, NARS 'Night Series' eyeshadow palette, BOSS orange NANDARA scarf and a double handle Valentino bag.

Customer Requests Coming Along
I have 3 charm bracelet requests I will be finishing up in the next 3 weeks. A sports fan, a soon-to-be new mommy and a Roller Derby themed bracelet which I'm so excited about. Between all that, I've been making sets ready for purchase and working on some submissions. 2011 is coming to an end and it's GREAT to look back at my work and see that I've exceeded well over my expectations. Each year it's only gonna get better!

Checkmate!!

A great bracelet style for Fall. Here is an assembly of beauty and fashion that I've brought together for my Checkmate charm bracelet. Frye Erin Riding boots, a metal vase trio, Stardust eyeshadow by Urban Decay, M.A.C. Mineralize Skin Finish Foundation, Chess Moulds British Birds, Gucci straight leg courduroy pants, a dark green fiorentina cardigan, a camel suede top handle bag, woven trimmed leatherette belt, Dior 'Backstage Expert' Holiday eye palette and two great looking chess bookends.

A Jazzy & Festive One For Me

I'm starting to get back at making time to my own personal pieces. I actually never wear red but I had a great red and blue dress that I loved and had to wear matching jewelry with. I made a 3-strand necklace with a matching 3-strand bracelet and matching 3-tiered earrings.

For the necklace I wanted something a little chunky and almost a little costume-jewelry like. I love the gold with the dark blue and I more than enjoyed wearing this set together.

I made the bracelet with the same beads as the necklace and I kept the earrings simple. With the few exceptions, I like to go with a bold necklace and not so bold matching bracelet and earrings. These colors together are fierce and no matter how I made this set, the red, blue and gold would stand out. I promise myself I will add more blue and red to my wardrobe!!
