A sister's gift and JLNVB Beach Ball

A gift for Cheryl's sister Sandra. A neutral theme of colors and a look to symbolize Hawaii . The crystal cross, hibiscus flower and handbag are just some of the sterling silver charms that decorate this bracelet. Cheryl requested greens and browns with a Hawaiian theme. I wanted to design it so it still had the neutral colors for an everyday wear she requested but still give a tropical feel to it. The wooden beads and slight sparkle of greens and brown beads work together perfectly. Cheryl's Sister Bracelet

Cent-sational Cherries Jubilee
Thank you to The Buzz (the Original Seller) on Etsy who added my Cherry Blossom resin ring into her Treasury collection. It's great to see people who favor my items or add them to their special 'favorites' list. She's put together a great Cherry collection of her favorite items on Etsy. The JLNVB Beach Ball 2011
I recently was asked from the Junior League of Norfolk-Virginia Beach if I would like to participate in their Community Event  Auction for their Beach Ball 2011. They came upon my Etsy page and my website and thought it would be a great idea. I am excited to design a bracelet for their auction. The design is totally up to me, but something similar to my Flirty & Coquettery and Gold Sweet remix was requested. It's going to be a great day of beach ball and will also include an open bar, food and dancing. Just another great event to look forward to this summer! I can't wait. Please visit my News and Press page or their website for more details. JLNVB Beach Ball 2011

Factory Girl and Karen

A gift for Karen
A gift from her BFF Sheila. I love the different surprises on this bracelet. All based around her best friend's hobbies, family and the friendship between them both. Sheila was a fan of my Deep Romance bracelet so I used some of those similar colors along with some brighter ones and more chunkiness. The 2 photo charms of Karen and her husband, photo of her kids and the Best Friends heart charm (that can actually break off into separate charms) really add a sentimental touch to this gift.

Factory Girl
Some old charms, some new charms.. and everything in between! An industrial look with a little fun. This is an entertaining bracelet with peculiar charms. My favorite part of this bracelet is the do-it-yourself photo charm that can hold any picture. Find out more details on this bracelet Factory Girl

Checkmate

In chess, the King is the most important piece. Even though it may be the most important, it's also one of the weakest pieces.. until the end of the game. I'm still trying to remember which parts of this bracelet did I pick up first? Was it the heart-shaped gold leafs, the flashy gold clasp, the bizarre but awesome chess king piece or just the fact that I am loving chunky bracelets right now? Who knows, but it came together as another chunky piece added to my collection. To see more go here Checkmate

Distant Inspiration
My favorite and most cherished beads are ones I've collected from traveling. I've been very fortunate to have parents living overseas in Egypt and had the chance to visit them numerous times. One trip I got to also go to Cyprus Greece and check out their selection of beads and eclectic jewelry. First thing I want to always do when I arrive is shop. Not to the mall or boutique shops but to the main marketplace where I always find a wide selection of beads and findings that I will never find in the states.
The single turquoise colored necklace and matching necklace & bracelet were made from a friend of my moms from my first trip to Egypt. She hand made these and also makes jewelry herself. I fell in love with her designs and the gifts she gave me. It's a different style, but just shows you there is no limit to imagination when you simply slide beads into a string. She uses mainly one strand and no extra jump rings or connectors. This takes just as much patience than your average charm bracelet.

These two photos are me wearing one of the necklaces on different occasions. I liked it so much I think I wore it almost everywhere. I loved the length and the fact that it was so light. This style of jewelry is more practical for traveling especially if you still like to wear jewelry but dislike the heaviness or feeling of actually wearing something (like me!). I enjoyed it throughout my travels and it still remains as a part of my collection today. She's a talented woman and just another one of my inspirations.
